  Forgive me if this has been covered already, however this past weekend I was visiting a cousin who was aware that some books in the JW bible were missing, but it was really downplayed why and what books, I found the following online:

  Matthew 17:21 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."

  Matthew 18:11 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."

  Matthew 23:14 -- COMPLETELY removed. What arethe Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation."

  Mark 7:16 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear."

  Mark 9:44 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."

  Mark 9:46 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."

  Mark 11:26 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?

  Mark 16:9-20 ( all 12 verses ) -- They separated the last 12 verses of Mark from the main text in an appendix (of sorts) with this detracting statement: "Some late manuscripts and versions contain a short conclusion after Mark 16:8, as follows] (New World Translation, Revised 1984 edition)

  Luke 1:28 - Vitally important phrase COMPLETELY removed. "blessed art thou among women"

  Luke 17:36 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."

  Luke 23:17 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "(For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)"

  John 5:4 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had."

  Jn. 7:53- 8:11 ( all 12 verses ) -- They separated the last 12 verses of Mark from the main text and place it at the bottom of the page in a appendix (of sorts) with this detracting statement: "Manuscripts NBSYS omit verses 53 to chapter 8, verse 11, which read ( with some variations in the various Greek texts and versions) as follows:"

  Acts 8:37 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

  Acts 15:34 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still."

  Act 24:6-8 -- Vitally important phrases (from verses 6,8) and all of verse 7 COMPLETELY removed. "and would have judged according to our law. But the chief captain Sysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands, commanding his accusers to come unto thee:"

  Acts 28:29 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves."

  Romans 16:24 -- COMPLETELY removed. What are the Jehovah's Witness missing?
  "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."

  Colossians 1:2 -- Important phrase COMPLETELY removed. "and the Lord Jesus Christ"

  Colossians 2:2 -- Important phrase COMPLETELY removed. "and of the Father, and"

  I John 5:13 -- Vitally important phrase COMPLETELY removed. "and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God"

  Rev 1:11 -- Vitally important phrase COMPLETELY removed. "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and,"

  Rev 2:15 -- important phrase COMPLETELY removed "which thing I hate"

  Rev 21:24 -- Important phrase COMPLETELY removed. "of them which are saved"

  I John 5:7 -- Vitally important phrase COMPLETELY removed. In the Jehovah's Witness "New World Translation" it says,

  "For there are three witness bearers,"

  What are the NWT readers missing? What does the real Bible say?

  "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

  This is one of the GREATEST verses testifying of the trinity. That is why the Jehovah's Witnesses leave it out. They do not believe in the trinity and they do not believe that Jesus is God. Whole books have been written on the manuscript evidence that supports inclusion of this verse in the Bible. Reader, do you believe in the triunity of God? If so, then this deletion should offend you. These cultists are playing around with the Bible and it isn't funny.

  Can anyone tell me if this is all that is missing, I was looking at my catholic bible last night however I do not own a JW bible anymore, and have never thought (probably like most JW) to compare side by side.

  I also had an interesting conversation with my cousin about how the bible was put together, although she is no longer a DUB she was pretty disgusted over JW's tampering with the bible.

  Most banks and credit card companies will close the account if you send them a copy of the death certificate, I had my mom do this right after my dad died, thankfully he had some type of insurance on all his accounts so my mom didn't have to pay them off.

  Although I wonder why he bought a new big screen tv just right before he died?????

  Things peculiar to your country!

  ok, if i came to your country (usa, canada, france, holland, oz....wherever) what should someone experience or sample before they leave....to give them a true taste of your homeland.

  limit it to 5 per post....if you can.. i'll start with england/britain.. english ale, the lake district (england), to get a true taste of england visit the city of bath (or maybe stratford, though a bit too touristy), sample some black pudding (blood sausage .

  c'mon you patriots!!!!.

  you forgot In & out burgers, I had some friends visit from Spain and that is the first place I took them to, Mexican food here in Southern California is good but maybe too hot for some folks.

  Places I recommend for California visitors:

  San Francisco

  Museums in L.A. (Getty, Peterson, La Brea Tar Pits, LACMA, MOCA, MOT)

  A tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills,

  Old town San Diego

  and depending on who visits me and from where they come from Shooting Range its a lot of fun.

  We are flying into Dublin first, (back in 2001 I spent a month in Ireland mostly Dublin), we are staying at the Harding Hotel I love Ireland.

  A Night In The Woods...

  i just got back from a trip designed to conquer a fear.

  i have always been afraid to camp by myself in the deep woods, and last week i set out to change that.

  Going camping in the woods with your family and friends is one thing, but going by yourself takes a lot of guts, and I know what Justice is talking about, most "campers" go to campgrounds with toilets and showers and sometimes you get a visit by the park ranger, however another thing is going way out in the middle of nowhere, no bear boxes to put your food, no one to go get help in case something happens. The fact that Justice set up a safe zone for his campsite is a very smart idea.

  A few years ago, I went camping in a KOA campsite, it was nice and with other campers about 50 feet away so it was not really the same experiance like Justice had, but I got a very rude awakening about 2 am my campsite was surrounded by bears, small ones but still to awake and find bears in you campgrounds always makes your heart beat a little louder, they were so close that at one point I had to grab a stick and hit a pan, when that did work I turned up my lantern and restarted my campfire.

  I would say the only thing more scary is camping out in the middle of the desert, I take my 12 gauge and my 38spl with me as the last time we had a small snake problem.

  lookie what i just got today from a friend who just got back from england:.

  makes number 13 in my collection.

  so far i have, hollywood, la jolla, san deigo, las vegas, aspen, honolulu, new orleans, orlando, phoenix, nashville, athens and madrid.. i ask everyone i know who's traveling to get me one of these plus the ones i get myself while traveling.. does anyone else here collect from hard rock cafe?

  when that huge burden was lifted from your shoulders and you saw the world not for the place of darkness and pain that the witnesses made it out to be but for all the wonder in it?

  yes but actually not until years later, (wish I had this website back then) anyway my day was in London at the Imperial War Museum, out in front of the museum they have a piece of the Berlin wall there with the words "Change your Life" spray painted on it. I think that is when I finally felt free and alive
